Brand Communication Kit Tech Notes
In most other systems, the end user builds the piece by picking assets
(pictures, logos and text blocks) from a list based on a predetermined
hot spot or placeholder, and then sends it back to the server for a
rendered image. If a change were needed in the marketing piece the process
would need to be completely repeated. BCK overcomes these time-draining
problems with our unique solution.
With BCK, the online marketing piece is created in Macromedia Flash™
technology through the use of "nested" animation. This technique
maximizes the flow of data streams to and from the server and is based
on the principles of dynamic fluid motion theory. The concept moves
the information in a steady pace so as not to cause latency or back
up in the transfer of information. This technique was developed by BCK
software engineers to overcome an inherent file issue in the generation
of marketing pieces. Through the use of nested animation we can now
let the end user see and modify marketing pieces in real time.
• Nested animation feature moves the information at a steady
rate
• Increased speed: Proprietary method reduces/eliminates latency
or backup in information transfer
• No longer a "blind" process: End user can now see
and change their marketing pieces on a real time basis
• Reduces/eliminates re-rendering/"back-and-forth"
interaction between server and client
BCK also serves as a digital asset library for the end user. The user
can upload and store their proprietary digital assets along with the
marketing pieces they have created in a "My Campaigns" section.
This asset library is integrated into the BCK creative solution and
is used in the creation of the actual marketing pieces.
Prior to integration of a digital asset library, the end user was limited
to
assets that were tied to a template and could not store them.
BCK is not bound by any limitation to the rendered file formats, allowing
the completed marketing piece to render to hard copy in any file format
(i.e., tif, jpeg, pdf, eps, and others). This is done through a unique
use of Macromedia's Generator™ (newly released as Flash MX™)
and auxiliary, custom code developed by our software engineers.
This is in contrast to all other products, which limit the rendering
to specific file formats. Prior to our file rendering technique, file
formats would need to be predefined, with end user usage limited to
this previously defined list.
Other advantages and proprietary characteristics are as follows:
• Flash-based solution is fully functional in the user's browser,
and requires no additional, special software
• Secured Application Server Provider (ASP) model can be accessed
worldwide, running securely over the Internet
• Creates multi-task content opportunities for global multi-cultural
and language needs
• User-based control of all assets for development and distribution
• Easy-to-use, intuitive interface and tools for simple point-and-click
applications
• Exclusive/expansive library of industry-specific creative
templates
• Comprehensive DM decision rules and databases
